- Most food and beverage operators will be open throughout Easter, although with operating restrictions for the bars. Some fashion retailers will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
ADVICE FOR TRAVELLERS
- There are likely to be queues at times, so aim to get to the airport nice and early to allow time to drop your bags and go through security screening.
- Check-in online before leaving home if you can, otherwise check directly with your airline to see when check-in opens.
- Book a car park online, well ahead of travel dates, to secure a space and get the best deal.
- Keep an eye on Wellington Airport’s website for the latest flight information, and check with your airline directly if any issues.
- Check out the latest information from the Aviation Security Service on what items can you travel with in your carry-on or checked bags.
- The busiest times at the airport are around 9am and 5pm so allow for extra time if travelling around then.
- There are still staffing shortages in many areas of the travel sector, including the Government screening agencies. The pressure can be exacerbated if there are flight delays or cancellations, so please be patient with frontline staff who are doing their best.
