Bird's Eye View Photo Competition

Entry:

• Entry closes at 9am Tuesday 30 September 2025.
• Entry is by completing the official entry form and submitting an original aerial photo of Te Motu Kairanagi, Miramar Peninsula.
• Entries are open to all New Zealand residents.
• Wellington Airport employees or their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
• If the winning entrant is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian will need to claim the prize on their behalf.
• Entrants will be required to complete this declaration: “I declare that the photograph I am submitting was taken by me personally. I confirm that I am the sole creator and copyright holder of this image and that it has not been copied, altered, or created using AI-generated or unauthorized means.  I further affirm that the photograph does not infringe upon any third-party rights and was captured in accordance with all applicable laws and ethical guidelines.  By signing this declaration, I acknowledge and agree to abide by the competition’s rules and terms”.

Prizes

• First prize is an NZD $2,000 travel voucher from helloworld Miramar.
• Runner Up prize is an NZD $1,000 travel voucher from helloworld Miramar.
• Bonus prizes - Photo entries shared by Wellington Airport on social media or in-terminal hoardings during the promotional period 27 March – 30 September 2025 will receive a $50 voucher for the new two-storey bar development opening later in 2025.
• The prizes cannot be redeemed for cash and cannot be transferred or exchanged.
• The winner is responsible for paying all additional costs associated with the prize that are not specifically included, including transport, spending money, insurance, accommodation, meals, passports, visas, covid testing requirements and all other incidentals.
• The prize is taken entirely at the prize winner's own risk. You acknowledge that (to the extent permitted by law) Wellington Airport is not liable, and you release and indemnify Wellington Airport and any persons associated with the competition in respect of any claim, for any accident, injury, death, property damage and other losses that may occur in connection with the competition or any prize.
• Submitted photos may be used by Wellington Airport to promote the competition on social media, website or in-terminal hoardings in each case without compensation.
• The winning and runner up photos may be used by Wellington Airport on social media, website, in-terminal digital screens or walls, or corporate publications in each case without compensation.
• If Wellington Airport is unable to contact the winner or runner up within seven days, the prize will be forfeited. In these circumstances, Wellington Airport reserves the right to offer the prize to another entrant of their choosing.

Judging

• A Wellington Airport judging panel will select the winner and runner up. The panel will be looking for the entry that best captures the hidden bird Manu Muramura in the Miramar Peninsula landscape.
• The winner and runner up will be announced by Friday 10 October 2025.
• Wellington Airport’s determination of the winners will be final and binding, and no correspondence or other communication will be entered into.

Privacy

• Wellington Airport respects your privacy rights under the Privacy Act 2020. You authorise Wellington Airport, and other entities involved in events and related services, and our authorised service providers to collect, hold, use and disclose personal information about you (including your name, contact details, social media handles, and entry photo) to conduct the competition. Failure to provide the personal information requested in the entry process will result in the entry being invalid.
• Entrants may opt-in to receive promotional emails from Wellington Airport.
• This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, or Instagram or their partners or application developers. By completing the entry registration form you are providing your information to Wellington Airport and not to Facebook or Instagram or their partners or application developers.

WIN a Family Getaway to the Wairarapa Balloon Festival!

This giveaway is for a family pass (2 adults, 2 kids) to the Wairarapa Balloon Festival Family Carnival on Saturday 19 April 2025 plus two nights’ accommodation at Copthorne Solway Park in Masterton on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 April 2025. The winner is responsible for paying all additional costs associated with the prize that are not specifically included, including (where applicable) transport, spending money, insurance, additional accommodation, meals and all other incidentals. Wellington Airport Regional Community Award nominator prize draw

Nominate a group in the 2025 Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards and go in the draw to win a Bed and Breakfast package for two from Rydges Wellington Airport (one night’s accommodation, breakfast for two and a $150 dining voucher for Peloton or Whiskey Lima Golf).
