Nominate a student for the 2024 Wild at Heart Spirit Award scholarships

Over the past 17 years Wellington Airport have recognised 85 outstanding local students who have gone above and beyond to provide service to their school and community through the Wild at Heart Spirit Awards.

We are pleased to again be celebrating the achievements of these outstanding rangatahi with the 2024 Wellington Airport Wild at Heart Community Spirit Awards.

One student from each of the six eligible schools will receive:

  • A $1000 scholarship
  • A framed certificate and letter of congratulations from Wellington Airport
  • Award presentation at the Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards dinner
  • Acknowledgement of their achievements through our airport channels.

Nominations

  • Nominations can be made through the online entry form
  • Students can nominate themselves, or nominations by other students, teachers or members of the community are welcomed.

Timeline:

  • Nominations open from now until midnight Monday 30 September 2024
  • Recipients will be selected in conjunction with colleges by end October
  • Recipients notified and invited to dinner by end October
  • Presentation at Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards Dinner on Thursday 21 November.
